GitHub Copilot is the most widely used AI coding assistant, working inside VS Code, JetBrains and more, with chat, agent mode and a cloud coding agent that opens pull requests. At $10 a month, Pro is the best-value paid plan here, and the free tier is genuinely usable. It's less suited to non-developers building from scratch, and top models require Pro+ or Max. The safe choice for teams.
